5 Things I loved Today

1. My turtle earrings. Everyone seems to love them. They are cute lil fellas perched on my ear lobes. I even had a guy named Skipper tell me about his pet turtle named Fred today because of my earrings. Apparently it's an odd conversation starter.

2. Laughter. Everyone here at Castaway is filled with laughter. The leaders, my new summer staff friends, and especially the campers. Seeing their faces light up and them busting out in laughter is such a joy to see!

3. Dancing in 80's clothing. Tonight I wore my mothers 80's aerobics jacket and some extraordinarily colorful leggings and danced on the beach with my friends. I even led a quick aerobics sesshh (shout out to my mom!). I always feel happy and free when I can dance goofy. I performed a dance a learned in junior high this evening also.

4. Sail boats. Sailing is sooooo much fun! The campers love it! We have kids line up on Sail Beach to sign up to sail. Luckily we got one more sail boat today. So we have a total of three now. Even though kids tip over the sail boats quite frequently, no matter how frustrated I get I realize that I am here to serve them so that people will see the light of Christ through me!

5. God. He has taught me so much this summer. About love, grace, trust, faith, and more love! He continues to pour into me so I can continue to pour into others! God is so good.

To start..

Im starting this blog so that I can post about my adventures.
